Hotel Dylan: A boutique hotel in Woodstock, New York

The Hotel Dylan is the ideal setting for those seeking to unwind and explore the unparalleled, majestic offerings of the Hudson Valley. Located on Route 28, the gateway to Catskill Park, Hotel Dylan provides guests with instant access to one of the most notable small towns in North America—Woodstock, New York. For nearly a century, Woodstock has been beloved by artists, musicians, travelers, fishermen, hikers, and skiers.

Beautifully nestled at the base of Overlook Mountain, Woodstock is an active artists’ colony and the ultimate year-round family destination. The Hotel Dylan also proves a great base point to explore other neighboring towns, including Saugerties and Phoenicia where exceptional dining, inspiring arts, calming spas, nature trails, and swimming holes beckon travelers — all less than two hours from New York City.

As of Autumn 2018, the Hotel Dylan has expanded from its original 11-room structure to feature 11 additional rooms and a new lobby space! In total, the Hotel Dylan now has 22 rooms available to guests. Photos of both the new rooms and the lobby can be found in the Gallery.

All 22 rooms of the Hotel Dylan offer true bohemian sophistication. The talented husband-and-wife team, The Novogratz, paid meticulous attention to every detail, presenting an ambiance that parallels the easy, laid-back character of Woodstock and the locals who call it home. Each room is named after one of the rock n’ roll greats associated with the Woodstock Nation, and iconic artwork by Elliott Landy and Michael De Feo grace the walls.

  • My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Dylan for a night. We stayed during the week so the hotel was very quiet but the staff was very attentive and helpful. The hotel is a quick 10 min drive to the main shopping section of Woodstock and fairly close to Kingston. The rooms were clean and BEAUTIFUL and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in upstate New York.

  • Hotel Dylan’s logo includes “peace, love, stay” and boy is that true. I never wanted to leave. The staff there goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable as well as giving you information about the surrounding areas. Woodstock is the perfect escape from Manhattan or to visit from anywhere. The hotel is beautiful, and a surprise as from the outside it looks like a regular motel, but once you step in, it as if being transported back to the era of the seventies but in a super chic way. It is super cute and trendy but no pretension is to be found. I highly recommend to visit with friends or with family. The pool is beautiful and is super great for the summer to go hiking and enjoy nature or the winter to hit the slopes, and either way make sure to sit by the fire pit and roast s’mores in any season! The Hotel Dylan is a must! - July 3, 2018

  • We had a great time at the Hotel Dylan. The room was spacious and nicely furnished - and all the little amenities were great - like the modern bath, super comfy beds and on and on. It was much easier than expected to get around as well to all of the places that we were looking to visit - just a few minutes into Woodstock, and surrounding towns. 100% chance that we will stay here again.

  • We can't say enough!!! The manager went out of his way for us...he made special accommodations related to our special circumstances, we were so impressed with her graciousness. We checked in early to a fun and beautifully appointed room in what has to be the best reno of a hotel ever. The assistant manager, who helped us get checked in, was friendly and professional. Great sleep, post my husband's LATE concert appearance in Woodstock. Will return, for sure.

  • If you're looking for a Hamptons or North Fork alternative getaway consider heading to the Hudson Valley Region and particularly the Hotel Dylan in Woodstock, NY! My mom and I discovered this newly opened gem when we decided to plan a last minute weekend getaway from the NYC area. The hotel was designed by the famous Novogratz design duo. The rooms feature unique furnishings with a retro vibe. Original photos taken at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 line the walls and each room features a record player. Each room is well appointed with comfy beds, a keurig, C.O. Bigelow bath amenities, and a fridge. The hotel features free WiFi and I was pleasantly surprised that the wifi signal and cell service was perfect throughout my whole trip (I heard it could be spotty in the area). We enjoyed an evening lounging around their outdoor fire pit and watching "The Last Waltz" with other guests over wine and snacks. It was very relaxing and a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC. They plan to open a spa and a gastropub style restaurant with a live music performance space on the property soon. I definitely plan to return and to bring friends for a girls getaway and my husband for a romantic weekend away. Definitely check it out!

  • Hotel Dylan was so mountain-chic. I spent MLK weekend here for a girl’s weekend getaway, and it was the perfect place to stay. My friend and I were first to arrive of the group and the staff greeted us with hugs and Happy Birthday for my friend. She was so sweet and excited, and it immediately made the experience memorable. The manager was also very kind. He made a bonfire every night and left s'mores kits outside guests' doors. We loved it! Also, the hotel was the perfect balance of modern and rustic. 10/10 would return! - January 26, 2018

  • If I could give this place an extra star, I certainly would. Wow....they've thought of everything....including sound cancelling "white noise" machines, great flatscreen premium cable TV, free WiFi, complete C.O. Bigelow amenities, outdoor firepit, well decorated, and CLEAN! The hotel manager is wonderful and the beds were crazy comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are huge! AND you can use the gym across the street gratis. We brought our own records and played them on the Crosley turntable (one in each room!). We will definitely be back and would recommend staying here without hesitation.

  • I stayed at Hotel Dylan as a getaway from city life this past weekend and couldn't have chose a more perfect place. I had read about it in Vogue's Guide to Woodstock (by go-to for fashion so why not for travel) and they happened to be really really right. From the top design from the famous HGTV TV show design team to the location close to town and across the street from the gym to the hotel manager who is delightful, it was the best place around. The room had a record player with records from the Woodstock times, board games, a fridge and a ginormous king west elm gorgeous bed. It was just renovated this past year so everything was brand new and they even had CO Bigelow soaps (great soaps and west elm hippie chic designed rooms) they had me at Peace. #peacelovestay

  • Absolutely love this hotel!! Was looking for a unique experience outside of Manhattan and wanted something different from the Hamptons on a long weekend. The aesthetic of the rooms is so cute, with a peace love and music theme paying homage to Woodstock and the 70s. The manager is super friendly and helpful. There are two fire pits on the property and outdoor furniture making it a nice place to chill after dinner. About 10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock. Will definitely stay here again!!
